Coffee design table

Today, I’d like to submit the pictures attached. I hope you will find this table… nice…!!!

It is one of Frederic RHODES's creations. He is an architect, working in Toulouse (France).

This “all around the world” table is made of glass, steel and wood.

It sizes 1.00x1.00x0.50m.

It is a coffee table that represents the meeting of people and objects. Seated around, people and friends meet and exchange ideas.
The right feet, which drawings are reminders of the World Trade Center represent the Occident, while the other feet are symbols of a Japanese temple front-doors. They are the East.
These two worlds meet by commercial and industrial exchanges which are represented by the steel metallic structure.
The glass links them up spiritually in all directions.

The “all around the world” table will be launched in a few weeks, sold by a new furniture design company: ARCHEDIS.

Only a hundred units will be available.

I really like it

It's a architect game with the number "8", because you can find many "8" in the design of this chair.

A big table made to be with this chair will be here too in a few weeks.

It's made with french oak by the Milhau Brothers Ebenistery and shoot by Anthony Heintz with the kind approval of The Abattoirs Museum in Toulouse (France) Toulouse Modern Art Museum.

Design Chair "1.618"

This is the firt final model of this new chair called "1.618". It's the divine proportion
Its make with French Oaks with géometric forms and a soft cushion for your back.
Its like a sculpture.
It will be edition restricted to 100 copies by a new publishing firm of contemporary furniture: Archedis.

The designer is a French architect: Frederic Rhodes.

Voyage au Japon

Premier jour OSAKA

Et premier choc... 40 minutes de bus pour traverser une partie de la zone industrielle d'Osaka... Nous passerons à côté des usines Daihatsu, Sharp, Toyota... pour arriver dans une faune urbaine qui s'étend, même du haut d'un building, à perte de vue.

Je vais retrouver, partout dans ces ambiances urbaines, le soin du détail et de la propreté des japonais. L'aménagement urbain est un art japonais...

Contrastes du japon après le chateau d'Osaka. Très décevant car tout refait... à neuf!!! Qu'en penseraient nos ABF chéris??? Je râle parfois en tant qu'Architecte après ces éminents confrères mais ils ont du bon non? En tout cas quand ils ne sont pas là ça se voit!!!

Retour à l'essence de l'urbanité: les commerces et les rues couvertes, les petites rues pleines d'échoppes, de restaurants, bondés toute la journée. Bien sur c'est encore plus beau le soir avec les enseignes allumées.
